Conceived by PorterCo’s Tourism Director, Doug La Placa, Visit Bend launched the Bend Ale Trail to diversify Bend, Oregon’s tourism offerings year-round. Utilizing micro-moment travel research, the three areas of focus were awareness, retention, and growth. Featured in dozens of media stories around the world & replicated by countless DMO’s, the Bend Ale Trail was awarded the prestigious Oregon Governor’s Award for Tourism Development.

Now in its 9th year, the Bend Ale Trail is a pillar that continuously drives off-season tourism.
